Chairman - Vusi Dlamini

Vusi is a Chartered Accountant who previously worked for PWC both in South Africa and Swaziland before joining Nedbank Swaziland where he worked as Head of Audit and later Head of Credit.

Until his retirement he was Finance Director for Swaziland's National Provident Fund.

Currently he is in the micro finance business, a venture he is managing with his partners in Swaziland.

Ish Makuzwa

Ish currently the presides as the CEO & Principal Officer for Lidwala Insurance Company. He brings over 14years experience in the short term insurance having worked for CGU Insurance as Risk Manager before joining Standard Fire & General as Marketing Manager and later Aon Zimbabwe where he was the General Manager.

He is also the pioneering managing director of Cell Insurance Company, a short term arm of Cell Holdings which specialize in the provision of alternative risk transfer solutions in the areas of short term insurance, medical aid and funeral business.

Nontombi Maphanga

Nontombi is a Civil Engineer by profession and currently works for a local services water authority in Swaziland as a Technical Director. Prior to that she worked for CAP as Project Coordinator and Coca Cola Swaziland as a Quality Assurance Chemist.

John Sibanda

John is a renowned insurance practitioner who brings over 30years experience in short term insurance. Until his retirement, John was the Managing Director of CGU Insurance (Zimbabwe) & also worked as a director with CGU Insurance (SA) now merged with Mutual & Federal.

John currently sits on a number of boards in various companies in South Africa and Zimbabwe.

Norman Buckham

Norman is currently the CEO of Thembani International Guarantee and has enormous international experience having previously worked as Agri Business Technical Advisor (Moz & Zim), Managing Director of Fundo de Credito Communitario (a micro finance lending project) with Mozambique, Finance & Operations Director of World Relief International (Maputo), Executive Director of Pharmaceutical Distribution P/L, General Manager of The Growth Trust Corporation and General Manager of Meridien BIAO Bank (Swaziland).

Norman sits on a number of company boards and NGOs in both South Africa and Swaziland.

Dr Gerrit Sandrock

Dr Sandrock is a renowned insurance practioner who brings enormous experience of over 30yrs in the short term insurance industry.

Until his retirement, Gerrit was the founding MD of First National Insurance Company South Africa, He also served as the Honorary Treasurer of the Insurance Institute of South Africa.

Gerrit sits on a number of company boards in South Africa and consults extensively in the field of insurance for a number of firms locally in South Africa and abroad.

Lovemore Madzinga

Lovemore is a Chartered Accountant who brings over 14years experience in the financial field of the insurance sector.

He is currently the Executive Director (Finance & Administration) of Baobab Reinsurance Company. Lovemore sits on the boards of a number of established financial and insurance service providers in Zimbabwe and some SADC countries.
